PhD Topic

My current Ph.D. project is on the Quaternary surface uplift of the central and southern Menderes Massif (Western Anatolia Extensional Province, Turkey). To understand the surface uplift, I use the incision rates based on fluvial terraces deformed by normal faults and basin-wide denudation rates with a combination of OSL dating and 10Be cosmogenic nuclide. In my master thesis, I’ve also studied OSL dating on foredune ridges to understand the delta shoreline evolution in southern Turkey.
