GEOHAZARD

Geohazards, such as landslides, floods, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, can have destructive effects on populations, economies and landscapes around the world. Our research interests focus on understanding the complex response of the landscape to the major triggering events (i.e. earthquakes, volcanic activities, extreme rainfalls) and further use this knowledge to predict the locations, impacts and frequencies of natural hazards.
